A letter from Executive Director, Lori Fascilla

Autumn: “The season for enjoying the fullness of life – partaking of the harvest, sharing the harvest with others, and reinvesting and saving portions of the harvest for yet another season of growth.”

  • Denis Waitley

Whether you’re the one clinging to your flip flops or the one wearing infinity scarves, the nip in the air is upon us and a new season begins. I love the imagery of harvest. We partake, we share and we store for the future. It feels as if we’ve done just that with the opening of our new Giraffe Laugh 4 location.

We have so much to celebrate this coming season and so much that has been accomplished. The honor of working with many of you to accomplish so much in very little time has been delightful and rewarding.

We are now able to serve up to 75 more children. We continue to call those on our waiting list and enroll children daily. We are serving school age children for the first time at our new site and we have a wonderful leader in Nicole Manzanares there along with her amazing team of teachers. None of that is possible without the support of our Giraffe Laugh friends and our Dream Big Society members.

I hope for all of you that you have a peaceful, rich harvest this fall and that you are able to enjoy a pumpkin spice latte or your equivalent of that; even if you’re still wearing your flip flops AND infinity scarf while taking in the autumn beauty.
