Holiday Food Baskets and adopt-a-family

This holiday season, you can help every child feel the joy of celebration.

Many families we serve may not have the means for a holiday meal or gifts without support. With your help, Giraffe Laugh will provide Thanksgiving and holiday food baskets and offer opportunities to adopt a family.

Last year, 235 children and families received holiday meals from Giraffe Laugh to help them celebrate Thanksgiving and the winter holidays.

A Holiday Memory That Changed Everything

Shared by a Giraffe Laugh supporter who adopted a family

One year, a child asked for a Nintendo DS. It was a stretch for us, but my husband said, ‘We should get the DS. I’ll use my Christmas money.’

Weeks later, we got a handwritten note from the mother saying her son had opened the game first and he felt sick. His father had pawned his DS for drug money. But when he opened the last gift and saw the new DS, he broke down sobbing. She said it gave him faith and hope in humanity again.

What was a simple decision to us was life-changing for a child—and it’s my constant reminder to pay it forward.
