Alexis England

Lead Pre-K teacher and Assistant Site Directorr at Giraffe Laugh in Kuna

I was born and raised in Boise, but I spent my teen years in Arizona finishing school and starting my career. I always knew I had a passion and goal to work with children since I began nannying for close friends and families during my summers at age 13.

I loved creating fun games and learning activities so I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I graduated in 2024 and immediately began work as a third-grade teacher. However, my family was still in Idaho so my parents, my sister, and I all moved back home last year. I looked for a school that had a strong community aspect and a focus on the child, which led me to Giraffe Laugh.

I love being able to nurture children and families while watching their growth from the beginning to the end of their time with us. It is truly special to be able to see and create those light bulb moments and give back to the communities that raised me. Being back home now, I enjoy spending lots of time with my family, visiting local events and activities. I also enjoy activities that I can view the full four seasons now, like hiking and paddleboarding, especially with my fur baby, Charlie.
