I’ve lived in Idaho most of my life and love this beautiful place I call home. I grew up in Eagle, attended Boise State University and now share a home in Boise with my boyfriend, Shawn, and our two fur children, Lucy and Winston. I work for Deloitte Tax, serving a variety of clients here locally in the Treasure Valley and in the Pacific Northwest. I am so proud to be part of an organization that values the importance of education and ensuring our future leaders are set for success. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, skiing, traveling and spending time with my family.

Alisa Bondurant

Every day I feel grateful to call Boise my home. I am forever awed by the Idaho landscape and the generosity of its community. After several years as an active volunteer, I am joining the Board because of my deep belief that every child deserves a quality education. I have seen first-hand how Giraffe Laugh provides that combined with lots of love and care for the entire family.

My day job is working as a Talent Advisor for Stackrock Talent, counseling executives in their career transition and partnering with employers to find the right talent. When I am not working, I am enjoying time with my amazingly creative and charismatic 13-year-old, mountain biking with my dog, Vespa, doing yoga with friends, or enjoying all the other outdoor activities Idaho offers.

I am born and raised in the treasure valley and I am proud to call Boise my home. I live on the bench with my wife and our two children and we take every opportunity to enjoy what our awesome community has to offer. Since 2005 I have worked in newspaper, radio, and television as a reporter, news director, and now Executive Producer and Content Manager at 6 On Your Side and Fox 9. Most recently, I spent four years as the public relations coordinator for the Idaho Foodbank, where I grew a personal affinity for Giraffe Laugh and the great work that is done for children in our community. I am excited to help however I can and to work to help ensure every child gets the opportunity to learn and grow in our wonderful community.

Having lived in Boise since the early 70’s I definitely call this great city home.  I’m a single parent of 3 daughters with a full-time career.  My busy life constantly gives me lessons to experience gratitude and I feel I have great relationships in my community to help others experience the same.

Nissa Nagel

Bookkeeper

I moved to Boise in 1999 drawn by the friendliness of the community, the beauty of the foothills, and the abundance of natural places for outdoor adventure. Often, I say, I left my heart in the Sawtooths and not in San Francisco where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from San Francisco State University. I met my husband Bob in downtown Boise where he was often found on the weekends playing bass in local bands. We live with our 7-year-old son Oliver and his furry heeler sister Annabelle. We love to be outdoors camping, fishing, and canoeing. When Oliver was a baby, I began providing bookkeeping and small business operations services to a handful of clients so that I could be home with him. During that time I had the amazing opportunity to work with Story Story Night and was part of the team that transitioned the organization to non-profit status. When Oliver began first grade and I had the opportunity to rejoin the workforce I found myself drawn to the non-profit sector. I am so thrilled to join the Giraffe Laugh team as a bookkeeper. I find endless satisfaction knowing that my work hours are spent helping create the kind of future I want for my son and his peers. You can find Nissa at the Administration Office, Monday – Friday, or by email at bookkeepper@giraffelaugh.org

Emily Solly

My husband, two daughters, and I take advantage of living in beautiful Idaho. We love to go camping, fishing, hiking, and skiing. We enjoy traveling and hope to do more as our girls grow. As a commercial lender at Mountain West Bank, I am able to help my clients with the best tools and services for their business. One of the things I admire about my workplace is their commitment to helping our community. I first learned about Giraffe Laugh when I was a Loaned Executive with the United Way, and their gift to children and families here in Boise match an area of immense need for our community. As a working mother wanting the best for my two daughters, I am proud to be a part of an organization that helps parents provide a stable, loving, educational and safe place for their children, regardless of their income. Their support for the entire family helps set children up for a lifetime of success; this, in turn, makes our community a better place.

Beverly Haugen

Giraffe Laugh 2 Site Director

I grew up in Heppner, Oregon and moved to Boise in 1998. I will soon start the adventure of obtaining my BA in Early Childhood Education. My favorite moment is when a child grasps on to a concept that they have been struggling with. Having the privilege to witness the pride they feel in their accomplishment brings me the greatest amount of joy.I was a single mom with next to no education with an amazing passion for working with children. I saw an ad for a preschool teacher with Giraffe Laugh and interviewed for it.  I fell in love with the children, the staff and Lori.  My passion is providing a safe, healthy learning environment for children and families regardless of their ability to pay.  One of my favorite parts of my job is giving tours of our program.  I love spreading the word and sharing my love of Giraffe Laugh. To contact Beverly email beverly@giraffelaugh.org or call 208-954-5450

Cassandra Wagner

Philanthropy Director

In my early childhood, I lived in the country in Nevada. After living there we moved to Austria for a few years and eventually settled in Idaho. I have three siblings and was raised by a single mother who sacrificed everything to get us all through college. I attended the University of Idaho where I received a degree in Sociology. With this, I went around the world teaching abroad and traveling. Through traveling I have learned a lot about other cultures. With this knowledge, I hope to pass compassion, tolerance, and acceptance of other races and cultures to my children. One of the best ways I can see doing this is by working and helping in the nonprofit world. I strongly feel that teaching is one of the most important professions and investing in our children is investing in the future. I have worked with a nonprofit for the past three years. While doing this I developed a great desire to remain in the nonprofit world.  I jumped at the opportunity when I heard that Giraffe Laugh was hiring. Education and the stability of our children are how we make the world a better place to live and Giraffe Laugh provides this. I am grateful and excited every day for the opportunity to work with such an amazing team of people on a mission that helps families in our community. You can find Cassandra at the Administration Office, Monday – Friday, or by email at cassandra@giraffelaugh.org
