My name is Amanda Rea (Penning), and I joined Giraffe Laugh in January 2023. I’ve been working in early childhood education since my teenage years. I have worked with children of all ages in various settings. I was born and raised in California’s Central Valley and moved to Idaho in 2019 with my wonderful husband. That same year, we welcomed our amazing son, Ben. As a family, we enjoy exploring local parks, shops, and restaurants. I also love coffee, cooking and baking, and spending quality time with loved ones.
My passion for early care and education began early. My mom ran an in-home daycare from the time I was a toddler until I turned six. Before moving to Idaho, I took several Early Childhood Development courses through Modesto Junior College and Columbia College in California, and in July 2023, I earned my Infant-Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
What drew me to Giraffe Laugh is the deep commitment to providing high-quality care while supporting families from all walks of life. I find so much joy in teaching young children and being part of their growth. Watching them meet milestones and gain new skills is both inspiring and rewarding. It’s a privilege to contribute to their learning and help build a strong foundation for their future.
I’m proud to be part of a mission-driven organization that empowers families and prepares children for school and life because every child deserves a bright beginning.
