The difference that is made by a positive early childhood experience, and early educational access, lasts
a lifetime. Without all of you we wouldn’t be able to do the work we do of impacting little lives daily.
Our community and our world grows stronger when every child has opportunities that ensure a bright
future for them. Healthy households, decent food, strong parenting and early education all contribute to
strong futures.
Giraffe Laugh families and staff have been so blessed in 2024 by so many of you. As I look back I’m
amazed by the incredible generosity but also events that took place that secured the future for so many
children and families here in Idaho.
A Gala wrapping up winter, a graduation of ready and eager preschoolers, a Garden Party put on by our
friends, the Garden City Visitors Bureau, and a Golf Tournament that was a hit, all made for a busy and
energizing winter, spring and fall.
In the middle of it, this summer we opened a new center which was no small feat. There were moments
of intense joy and moments of tearful pleas (mostly with the City over fees) but it happened in Kuna!
We are proudest of the moment we cut the ribbon on a new beginning for so many children in need,
thanks to our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and so many donors who made it possible.
Without our programs children might not ever have access to quality early care and education. And we
are doing it again in 2025 at Franklin and Orchard, this spring.
We are doubling our impact and looking forward to doing it side by side with all of you.
The Futures Begin Here Luncheon was a wonderful success and allows us to plan ahead to begin the
hard work of finding new and creative solutions to the 550 children on our waiting list who are aging off
every day. We are in the planning stages of a new strategic plan and invite all of you to participate in a
stakeholder survey to help guide our future plans and goals in the coming years. As someone most
invested in our work, we invite you to let us know how we can improve, what we are doing well and
what opportunities exist for us as an organization. Your wisdom will guide us into the coming years!
Happy New Year everyone. Thank you so much for being an integral part of our work last year and
making our community stronger with your commitment to young children and their families.
We can see the future from here!
